what I do for a living
By day, I'm a software trainer and consultant at a technical college in Charleston, South Carolina. I develop and deliver training, in person and online, to help faculty and staff understand the software tools available to them (which, in turn help them work or teach or both). I also work on department-level projects as they arise, often involving databases. I develop rich-media (Flash-based) online training modules so clients who have no time to attend face-to-face classes can still get the benefit of them.

On the side, I am an adjunct English instructor. I teach composition and literature classes. I used to teach these face-to-face. But, since January 2007, I've been teaching online (and sometimes blogging my experience of it).
what I don't do for a living
When I'm not teaching, I compose, play, and record music. I also enjoy a good book and watch quite a few films (and am a total freak for TV on DVD). I enjoy cooking. I have quite a few pets. And, of course, I have the good fortune of spending a lot of time with my wife, our son, and other members of our family.
